Yay! The long-awaited Abney Park show at the Knitting Factory was on Saturday! I went with my awesome Mr. K and his friend the ever-so entertaining Mr. Smith! We got there a bit late to meet up with friends for food but just in time for a photo op with the men from Abney Park!

The first act was Zoe from Vermilion Lies, simple folks stuff that I love and used to listen to frequently when I was younger. I enjoyed her immensely! Right afterward was Abney Park! (with the noticeable missing presence of our beloved Finn who could not make it last minute) They rocked the mic with some new songs, old favourites and introduced the League of Steam to the stage for Airship Pirates as they showed off their contraptions. They even electrocuted some folks onstage with their shock pack! Our fearless leader, Mr. MPsy aka Capt. Wong Wei, boldly held on to the prongs with both hands! Proud of ya, MPsy! ^.^

I took a video of a chanty they played as well but the sound quality is terrible on it, I definitely need a new camera. Here it is, I hope you can enjoy it for what it is:





After the show, there was much socialization and plans for more events. I had an awesome time meeting new steamy faces, and enjoying my lovely regulars, I can't wait for Pyrate Daze!
