Drama After Dark: A Night of the Macabre With Poe and Gorey 2011 at Huntington Library in San Marino, CA (http://www.huntington.org/)

The event is very simple and entertaining: You walk around the grounds of the beautiful and picturesque Huntington Library to the story by Edgar Allen Poe and Edward Gorey you�d like to see in the dark lit only by candlelight. All the actors are in period appropriate clothing and, as a monologue or a troupe, perform their tale. All the actors did a fantastic job with the drama, the humor, and the ambiance! I was absoultely delighted with this surpise event by my friend, Mr. K, and will definitely come to see this event again!

Edward Gorey tales seen: The Ghastlycrumb Tinies, The Green Beads, The Insect God, The Wuggly Ump (all performed by a singing troupe of actors in various accents and impersonations, such as Christopher Walken, Sean Connery, William Shatner, great fun!), The Object Lesson, The Fatal Lozenge, The Doubtful Guest (performed by a troupe of about 8 men and women rotating characters, the latter being my favorite!)

Edgar Allen Poe tales seen: Berenice, The Raven, The Oval Portrait, The Black Cat (1st favorite) and The Tell Tale Heart (2nd favorite)

No more photos of the acts could be taken after the first one of the young lady lighting the candles just before sunset, the light was too low and I was too engrossed in the stories.
