2009-07-09 - 9:29 p.m. While we were getting pictures for the collages, my grandmother found a tin full of pictures of the family in different stages and of the grandchildren. I was blessed to see these pics and when we dismantled the boards to give back the pictures that belonged to my grandmother, I scanned the pictures I wanted to keep. Enjoy. :) Grandpa, Manuel Guerra circa the late 60's my grandmother does not date the back of her pictures, but sometimes writes things. She simply labeled this one, "My honey at work" <3 Que suave! Swear, my grandfather should have been in movies! I got a kick out of these two pictures, my grandfather looks so silly and carefree as a teen! I especially like the one where he's walking up the way, he looks so determined! This was at the Lady Luck Casino, check out the 'stach and sideburns! Jer asked grandma, "Woah, when was this picture taken? Was this when Grandma used to rob banks?" hehe, this does look like a mug shot! I'd like to say this is at Hoover Dam but he's wearing a jacket so I'm not sure. Either way, this picture is brilliant, he looks so peaceful Silly Grandpa! Him and those boots! He's always a jokester! My grandfather, grandmother, Auntie Chris, mom (with grandpa) and Auntie Ana. This picture's inscription read, "Manuel Zeno Christine Silvia & Ana My grandpa is so handsome, and he isn't even trying! This is how I remember him Queen Zenoria and King Manuel Guerra, posing for pictures for the Abuelitos of Boyle Heights senior social group. They were even on TV on a show called Viva la Familia! Grandpa with little Cousin Michael and Jer at the beach Oldschool! We're all at Walmart this day. Me with my brother and cousin Michael. In pictures, the boys resemble their uncles big-time when they were children! |
